Toyota

A manufacturer that has established itself as a byword for reliability, durability and quality over the past few decades, it is little wonder that Toyota remains one of the world’s foremost motoring brands.

Indeed, no other manufacturer sells more cars globally than Toyota, while its reputation for sheer longevity is the envy of other brands the world over.

It’s an image that has been painstakingly earned over decades, but today’s Toyota range goes far beyond that with models that are also the class standard for running costs, driving prowess and even style.

Here we take a look at the gems the 2026 Toyota range at Vertu offers right now…

Why Choose a New Toyota?

  • Proven Reliability – Toyota has consistently ranked among the top brands when it comes to reliability – and when we say ‘consistently ranked’, we’re going back decades here
  • Quality – Reliability and durability doesn’t come without quality materials and components to back them up with all models having a premium air about them
  • Electric & Hybrid – Toyota was a pioneer in self-charging hybrid technology, which has come on leaps and bounds to make up a prominent portion of Toyota’s range alongside new zero emission electric models
  • Family-friendly Versatility – While Toyota has shed the ‘dull’ image it was once lumbered with, its models are still family-friendly and versatile with its range including everything from city cars to estates to SUVs to multi-purpose vehicles.
  • Aftersales Care – Toyota’s reputation for reliability is consolidated by a groundbreaking warranty package that can last all the way to 10-years.

Popular Toyota Models in the UK

1 - Aygo X.jpg

Toyota Aygo X

The pint-size Toyota Aygo X has matured for 2026 by becoming the latest model in the Japanese firm’s range to upgrade to a self-charging hybrid powertrain.

A tempting alternative to a full electric powertrain, the combination of an engine and electric motor means the Aygo X can return up to 85mpg of fuel, while keeping emissions right down at 87g/km

The substantial work under the skin hasn’t affected the Aygo X’s funky looks, which remain intact and should prove especially appealing to a younger demographic.

2 - Yaris.jpg

Toyota Yaris

For those seeking a reliable, mature and well-rounded supermini (or compact family hatchback), the Toyota Yaris still takes some beating.

The Yaris gets the basics of what a small car should do well spot on, being frugal, easy to drive and equipped like a much larger model.

Two hybrid engines are offered – a 1.5-litre generating 114bhp and the other 128bhp – with both offering spirited performance, while returning almost 70mpg.

3 - Yaris Cross.jpg

Toyota Yaris Cross

The SUV equivalent of the Yaris, it is little wonder the Toyota Yaris Cross has risen to become the manufacturer’s most popular model in most European markets.

As with its sibling, the Yaris Cross gets temptingly low running costs, but it’s complemented further by its well-kitted out, well-built interior, while it rides appealingly high and looks great too.

4 - Urban Cruiser.jpg

Toyota Urban Cruiser

While the majority of its range is focused on the ‘best of both worlds’ appeal of self-charging hybrid powertrains, Toyota is increasingly dabbling in pure electric models.

The latest is the Toyota Urban Cruiser, a collaboration with Suzuki that has also yielded the Suzuki e-Vitara.

Sitting between the Yaris Cross and C-HR in terms of size, the Urban Cruiser cuts a dash on the road and is well-equipped, while the two batteries – 49kWh and 61kWh – are well-judged to provide a useable plus-200 miles of range while keeping upfront costs down.

5 - C-HR.jpg

Toyota C-HR

Proof that Toyota can get creative to impressive effect, the Toyota C-HR successfully cuts through rivals in the hugely competitive small SUV segment with its daringly striking looks.

Its sheer visual appeal is only half of the story though with the C-HR consolidating its design with an involving driving experience and impressive real-world efficiency from its self-charging hybrid engines.

Better yet, it also comes with a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) option too for those who want to maximise their zero emissions driving, with this model achieving over 40-miles of range.

6 - C-HR +.jpg

Toyota C-HR +

If the C-HR had one criticism, it would be the relatively limited interior space on offer… a drawback that Toyota have rectified with the launch of the larger Toyota C-HR +.

As the name suggests, the CH-R + is a larger version of the C-HR, meaning it gets all the same head-turning visual appeal – arguably more to some eyes - but in a bigger package that can accommodate five people more comfortably.

Critically, however, the CH-R + is electric only, coming with a 72kWh battery that is good for a frisky 221bhp and upwards of 378-miles of range.

7 - Corolla.jpg

Toyota Corolla

A stalwart of Toyota’s line-up for almost 60 years now, the Toyota Corolla has rightly earned its status as the best-selling nameplate the world has ever known.

Now in its 12th generation, the Corolla has never been more accomplished. While you may come for the rakish looks, you’ll stay for the self-charging hybrid engine range that ensures class-leading economy figures without the faff of needing to plug it in.

Available as a hatchback or as a more capacious Touring Sports estate, the Corolla has always been a car you buy with your head… but now you can buy one with your heart too.

8 - Prius.jpg

Toyota Prius

It’s easy to forget just how revolutionary the original Toyota Prius was when the first generation was launched way back in 1997, a time when electric power was deemed a pipedream.

Fast-forward nearly 30 years and the Toyota Prius has evolved to remain at the precipice of clean, affordable motoring.

By sitting outside of traditional segments, the latest Prius takes on a stylish new look that also happens to be very aero-efficient, which when coupled to the 2.0-litre PHEV powertrain can achieve over 100mpg and zero emissions range of more than 50-miles.

9 - RAV4.jpg

Toyota RAV4

Another model in the Toyota range that can be credited for triggering a culture shift in the automotive industry, the Toyota RAV4 is widely considered the model that gave rise to the SUV back in 1994.

More than 30 years later and SUVs rule the road, with the RAV4 continuing to count itself among the most popular.

The latest model is substantially larger than the ‘OG’, offering plenty of space for the whole family in a package that is solidly-built, well-equipped and efficient – in short, an exemplary all-rounder.

10 - bZ4x.jpg

Toyota bZ4x

If the RAV4 is a conventional SUV all-rounder, the Toyota bZ4x combines all the same appealing traits in an eco-friendly pure electric package.

Zero emissions or otherwise, the bZ4x offers a lot of appeal from its well-thought-out dashboard, premium quality levels and generous standard equipment.

Available with the choice of two power derivatives of its 73kWh battery - 201bhp and 215bhp - bZ4x can travel around 300-miles on a single charge

11 - Proace City Verso.jpg

Toyota Proace City Verso

Capitalising on Toyota’s successful commercial vehicle range, the Toyota Proace City Verso – based on the smallest van in its line-up – is the ideal choice for those seeking ultimate practicality on a budget.

Indeed, those commercial vehicle roots give the electric Proace City Verso unbeatable versatility in its price bracket, with even the shortest version offering 597-litres of space.

However, there are longer models too, while there is choice of five or seven seats depending on your needs. Perfect for those with mobility considerations.

12 - Proace Verso.jpg

Toyota Proace Verso

Like the Proace City Verso, the Toyota Proace Verso is based on the van of the same name.

As such, the Proace Verso is built for maximum versatility and the ability to accommodate seven, eight or even nine people, including the driver.

The Proace Verso also benefits from a 75kWh battery powertrain allowing for up to 133-miles of range and while it is ultimately almost identical to models from Citroen (Space Tourer) and Vauxhall (Vivaro Life), Toyota offers a more attractive aftersales package.

13 - Landcruiser.jpg

Toyota Landcruiser

Toyota may be a byword for reliability for many, but for others it is the manufacturer’s cast-iron reputation for building rock-solid, go-anywhere vehicles that offers most appeal.

It is decades of experience in this area that has led to the latest generation Toyota Landcruiser, which has been designed to offer a tantalising mix of desirability and unstoppable driving, whatever the surface.

Engineered to offer unbeatable off-road ability and keep going even in the harshest conditions, there are few models out there that can match the goodwill built by the Landcruiser nameplate over the decades.

14 - GR Yaris.jpg

Toyota GR Yaris

Such is Toyota’s ubiquitousness across the automotive industry that as well as developing models that are reliable, good quality and can cross deserts without breaking a sweat, it is also known for its performance models.

Indeed, its Gazoo Racing motorsport arm has been a successful fixture in series’ as diverse as the World Endurance Championship – including multiple Le Mans 24 Hours wins – the Dakar Rally and NASCAR in recent years.

However, it is its immense success in the World Rally Championship – six drivers’ titles in the past seven years – that inspires its raciest UK model, the Toyota GR Yaris.

Generating 280bhp from its turbocharged 1.6-litre three-cylinder engine, the GR Yaris hot hatch has been meticulously tuned to be considered one of the finest handling cars ever produced.
